One thing I love about our kitten is that he just loves himself and has a good time totally being in the moment. I learn so much from him, thank God for animals!!
Her Faith – No Fear -
May 13, 2012 – 11:39 pm
Through the Dark Sod – as Education -
The Lily passes sure -
Feels her White foot – no trepidation -
Her faith – no fear -
Afterward – in the Meadow -
Swinging her Beryl Bell
The Mold-life – all forgotten – now -
In Ecstasy – and Dell -
poem by Emily Dickinson
What an amazing poem by Emily Dickinson. I found it on-line while looking for a poem to go with this photo I took on Saturday. My husband, Tom, came home on Friday with these flowers for me and said, “Hey Bon, check out these flowers they are so cool.” He didn’t know what they were but was so excited to give them to me. I was grateful to receive them and really appreciated his thoughtfullness. A few years ago we traveled to Costa Rica and were driving around the countryside and pulled over on the side of the road. And, out in a field there they were…growing wild….Calla Lily’s … that was fun to see!! Enjoy your week!

Happy Purple Heavenly
May 6, 2012 – 10:13 pm
Flowers are happy! I’ve never seen a sad flower, have you? I notice them wherever I go and it’s the first thing I see, they just capture my attention. I made this spiral shape using dried purple flower petals. A couple of years ago my niece, Lyndsey, gave me a spiral glass statue and told me that meaning of spirals are ”the heavens.” Historically, there are so many meanings, however, that stuck with me…it’s a very wonderful image!!
Wishing you a happy purple heavenly week!!

Flowers On A Journey
April 25, 2012 – 9:22 am
Over 8 years ago, I made these flowers using bamboo for the stem & wire from clothing hangers and old nylons to make the petals. They were about 7-8 feet tall. I had a show called “Garden Party” at Central Gallery at the University of Massachusetts. My whole theme was flowers and I had them standing in old rusted tire wheels that I got from a recycling center. When the show was over my friend, Paul, and I took the flowers out on a journey and he photographed them for me. Here’s one photo of the four of them up on top of a hill. A yellow tulip, a blue tulip, a sunflower and a red tulip. That particular shot reminds me of the “Tele-Tubbies”for some reason. So much fun!!

Building A New Nest
April 24, 2012 – 9:42 am
The other day I stopped at Atkins Farm and noticed birds flying around with grass in their beaks. As I looked up at the rafters these two birds were making a new nest. So, I ran to my car, grabbed my camera and took this photo. I hope you enjoy it, they are so cute.
