Today, I love to down hill ski but it wasn’t always that way.  My husband, Tom, inspired me over 15 years ago to give  down hill skiing a try.  He loves it and has been “pointing them down” since he was 6 years old–he’s a pro!  Since I was a kid, cross-country skiing has been my thing.  So, when I gave alpine skiing a try for the first time I did o.k. although, anything that could go wrong…did.  The “big” three I remember are first falling off the chair lift when I first got on and they had to stop it…I was so embarrassed.  Next, I fell where they were blowing snow and got all tangled up in all the hoses.  And, then I  went over the side of the mountain and the only thing keeping me from going ALL the way down was my ski pole basket got wedged in between two tiny pine trees.   What a trip!  You think that after all of that I would have thrown in the towel but I didn’t,  I kept on trying.  And, I’m glad I did because, it is so much fun to be out there with Tom and the scenery is so beautiful.  So, do something that makes you feel good even if you’re not that great at it–who cares?!  Have F-U-N!!

In the process of learning to trust your intuition, many old feelings and deep emotional patterns will come to the surface to be healed and released.  Feelings of sadness, fear, pain, guilt, and rage may come up.  Allow yourself to consciously experience and accept these feelings; as you do so they will naturally begin to release and heal.  As the light of awareness penetrates every cell of your body, it dispels the darkness.

While walking in a field yesterday, I came upon these petunias.   When my mother was a kid, she learned a song about petunias growing in an onion patch…it goes like this.

“I’m a little petunia in an onion patch, an onion patch, an onion patch…I’m a little petunia in an onion patch and I cry and I cry all day…whaw, whaw, whaw, whaw.”

 I remember my mother singing me that song when I was a kid.  I would laugh and laugh…I thought it was so funny.  It still makes me laugh, smile, and warms my heart.   Years later, my mother sang it to her granddaughter and she loved it too.

What will you experience today, tomorrow, or next week that will trigger a great memory for you?  It feels good to connect to fun things that happened in your childhood.  Hold onto the awesome memories and let go of the crap.
